Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and Achtor when you use the website and app. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Your account

  • You must be 16 or older to create an account.
  • Give accurate details and keep your email account secure, since log-in codes are sent there. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell Achtor straight away at info@advisoryfromatlas.com if you think someone else has used your account.

Your content stays yours

Everything you add to your archive belongs to you or the people who own it. You give Achtor permission to store, copy, resize and display your content only so the service can work for you and the people you share with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from short-lived backup copies.

What you can and can't upload

Only upload content you have the right to share. Do not use Achtor to store or share content that:

  • is illegal, including any content that sexually exploits children
  • infringes someone else's copyright, privacy or other rights
  • harasses, threatens or harms anyone
  • contains viruses or harmful code

Do not try to break into accounts, overload the service or get around its security. Achtor can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and will report illegal content where the law requires it.

Sharing, co-owners and guests

You decide who sees your archive. Co-owners can add, edit, share and delete memories, so only invite people you trust. Guests can only see memories shared with them and add their thoughts. You are responsible for who you invite and approve.

Paid features

Achtor is free to start. Some features, such as enhanced or professionally edited guest videos, may cost extra. Prices and terms will be shown clearly before you pay, and any consumer rights you have under Irish and EU law, including cancellation rights, still apply.

Availability and changes

Achtor works hard to keep the service running and your files safe, but it can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose. Features may change over time. If a change affects you significantly, you'll be told in advance.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Achtor can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise, Achtor is not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live.
